Eliseo Caprio arrived on the Taormina from Cuposele, Italy in May of 1915. He settled in Newark, New Jersey and it was there he began his tailoring company, Broad Street Clothing. Eliseo based his company not only on his exquisite designs but on his philosophy that "price alone does not make friends". He believed in giving his customers "style, service, and quality at a consistently reasonable price" and his talent for designing the most beautiful suits and coats made him one of the most sought after designers of his day.
Inspired by her grandfather, Germaine Caprio has continued to offer fashion, quality and service to her customers. You'll see her grandfather's inspiration in the mixing of prints, beautiful fabrics and innovative designs for women's lounge wear. She's even taken it one step further. A lover of the environment, Germaine ensures her garments are made from fabrics that leave the smallest impact on the environment and she never stops looking for ways to use her excess fabric so nothing is added to landfills or wasted. Most importantly, everything is made right here in the U.S.
Germaine designs lounge wear women really want to wear. It's comfortable, cute and whimsical and once you wear her pajamas, you'll never wear others. "I'd like to think women feel great strutten their style when they get the morning paper off the porch or get caught in their pajamas at noon and I believe once you put them on, you'll never want to take them off." So check them out and lounge well, live long!
